2015 is upon us. 2014 involved everything new around here. I finished graduate school, moved clear across the country, reunited with Dr. Hottie, finished my 1st mountain ultra marathon, got published by a national magazine, and the scariest leap of all- started my own coaching business. The last 12 months truly shook me to my core. I was at the bottom of a crevasse with all my goals at the top and no real knowledge of how to get there. My confidence was truly tested, but I'm SO happy to finally be gaining some momentum and feeling that familiar fire in my belly. I want 2015 to be a year of relentless forward progress. I've had enough new and scary experiences to last me awhile...so cheers to a bit of routine and progress!
January 1 also marks my one year anniversary as a Utahn. It has been a year long love affair with the mountains, and I'm happy to have 4.5 more years to explore, adventure, and test my physical limits! While it can be incredibly difficult to be away from family and our dear Wisco friends (Badger for life!!), running in the mountains & connecting with the trail community has provided me with much needed solace. Happy Utah-versary to me, and happy holidays to all of you! Thanks for reading and I hope the new year brings health, love, adventure, and success! Enjoy some of my favorite pics from 2014.
